Michael A. DellaVecchia, MD, PhD, FACS, FICS, currently serves as chair on the Senior Physicians Section Governing Council and as a delegate from Pennsylvania to the AMA House of Delegates. He currently served as governor of the American College of Surgeons and is a past president of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

The Senior Physicians Section (SPS), with more than 60,000 members, is the largest senior physician group in the United States. AMA members 65 years of age and above can remain involved in their profession through the section activities.
