Board Meeting - Tuesday March 5th

Dear Chester County Medical Society (CCMS) Members

In lieu of our bimonthly Board meeting, CCMS is hosting a general, informative meeting on Tuesday, March 5th at 6PM at the Desmond Hotel, 1 Liberty Blvd, Malvern, Pa.  Everyone interested is welcome to attend but an RSVP is required.  A light dinner will be served.

The Medical Society has invited two important speakers to address the CCMS Board:

Zachary Gates, Senior Director of Government Relations at the Pennsylvania Medical Society who will speak about his physician advocacy role at the State Society, the issues PaMed is currently working on in terms of legislation affecting physicians, how CCMS physicians can help locally, and strategies and techniques on approaching legislators.

Doug Wo, who is the Regional Readiness Coordinator for the newly formed Southeast Healthcare Coalition which will be focused on healthcare emergency preparedness.  Doug will be explaining the mission and goals of this coalition that CCMS will participate in by having representation on the task force.

In case you weren’t aware, CCMS Board meetings are always open to all general members.  They are held every other month, on the first Tuesday of the month at 6PM.  

RSVPs are requested as food is usually served.  Look for the meeting schedule and the location on our website, CCMS, org.
